Nei giorni 23-24 Giugno 2012, prima dell‚??inizio del Torneo di Wimbledon (25 Giugno - 8 Luglio ) si terr√† la conferenza annuale di Medicina e Scienza dello Sport organizzata dalla Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) insieme alla Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine (ACPSM) e alla Society of Tennis Medicine and Science (STMS). La conferenza √® sostenuta dal Medical Departments dell‚?? ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) e dalla WTA (Women‚??s Tennis Association).
Il Club Wimbledon fu fondato il 23 Luglio 1869 come ‚?? The All England Croquet Club‚?Ě . Il 14 Aprile 1877 fu organizzato il campionato inaugurale LAWN TENNIS e il Club si trasform√≤ in ‚?? The All England Croquet and Lawn Tennis Club‚?Ě http://www.wimbledon.com/about
Il Bordighera Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club ( Primo Tennis Club Italiano) fu fondato nel 1878 l‚??anno dopo Wimbledon.

Dr Michael Turner, Chief Medical Adviser Lawn Tennis Association, has asked me to inform all International WCPT and IFSP National medical, scientific and performance staff of the 2012 Pre-Wimbledon Sports Medicine and Sports Science Conference, ‚??The one who wrote the book‚?Ě being run by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) in association with the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine (ACPSM) and the Society of Tennis Medicine and Science (STMS) at Parkstead House, Holybourne Avenue, Roehampton, London, UK on Saturday 23rd June 2012 (LTA sports medicine and sports science conference ‚?? day 1) and Sunday 24th June 2012 (ACPSM Annual Study Day and LTA sports medicine and sports science conference ‚?? day 2). LTA will apply for CME-CPD accreditation through FSEM.

The conference will include a BBQ on Saturday evening (23rd June) at the LTA National Tennis Centre in Priory Lane, Roehampton, London SW15, UK and it is anticipated that conference delegates will be able to attend the first day of The Championships, Wimbledon on Monday 25th June 2012 (subject to availability).
The 2012 conference is supported by the Medical Departments of the ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals - www.atpworldtour.com) and the WTA (Women‚??s Tennis Association - www.wtatennis.com).
